Support the Layne Paul Gravois Foundation’s mission to award scholarships, educate on water safety, and Live Like Layne.

Discover the inspiring story of Layne Paul Gravois, a true hero who sacrificed his life to save two children from drowning. As a Carnegie Hero Medal Recipient (awarded to people who perform extraordinary acts of heroism in civilian life), Layne's legacy lives on through the scholarships we award to high school seniors who embody his character. Join us in honoring Layne's memory and making a difference in our community.
At the Layne Paul Gravois Foundation, we believe in the power of education and the potential of young minds. That's why we proudly award scholarships to high school seniors who embody Layne's character through their academic achievements, humility, athleticism, and attitude.

At the Layne Paul Gravois Foundation, we have a clear vision for the future.
Our goals include providing water safety education, distributing life jackets and swimming lessons, and installing emergency life buoys. These efforts are aimed at creating a safer environment for everyone.

We're proud to partner with other organizations focused on water safety to help maximize efforts nationwide.

We're currently discussing plans to place rescue buoys near the boat launches and docks along Bayou Lafourche, along with life jacket stations.
To date, we've donated 45 life jackets and 25 swim lessons to help promote water safety.
